In Living Color: A Portrait of Growth

"Woman" is a painting based on a photo I took of my daughter during a trip we took to “The Upside Down” in Amsterdam. Her confidence, the vibrant colors, and the textured surroundings called to me — it felt like a moment that needed to be captured and shared. As I painted, it became more than just a portrait of her; it became a portrait of myself — of my own journey through self-expression, courage, and growth as an artist. This piece marks a turning point in my work where I allowed intuition and emotion to guide my brush, embracing boldness without apology. It reflects the vibrant, layered, and evolving spirit that lives in each of us.
